Announcing the Fall 2022 Competition Finalists

Negative Space Comics is excited to share the Fall 2022 Comic Book Writing Competition Finalists with you!

Narrowing down from our semifinalists to this short list was very difficult. The stories submitting to this competitions were out of this world — literally! Five our of the ten semifinalists had otherworldly stories, while the rest were grounded or fantasy based. We always enjoy a good space story! Thank you to everyone who submitted a script, we are honored to be able to read your work.

We are announcing the Grand Prize Winner on Friday, February 3. The lucky winner will get to spend one hour of mentorship with each of our amazing industry professionals: Greg Lockard, Rich Douek, and Tim Stolinski. They are ready to get your career to the next level! And all-new this year, the other finalists will also benefit from mentorship, spending one hour with Negative Space Comics Co-Founder Nahuel Fanjul-Arguijo, learning best next steps and receiving script feedback. What a time to learn and grow in comics!

We always love getting a chance to read your scripts and offer this platform for comic book creators to share their work. It can be difficult to be seen in this industry, but we hope this is an important way to change that. We hope that our competition continue to create new paths for many aspiring writers.
